Tenzin + The Spirit World

This scene is so important, and I don’t see it talked about much. One thing that I loved about the writing for this show is that Aang wasn’t a perfect Dad. Both Kya and Bumi outright resent Aang for all of the attention he gave to Tenzin, and all the pressure Aang put on Tenzin caused him to have his own identity crisis at the end of the season. I feel like a bit of this is all lost after season 2 (Toph’s poor parenting obviously takes the spotlight a bit), but I’m glad that they gave Aang and Katara’s kids their own set of parental baggage.
